Sometimes I accidentally right click on the desktop or inside a folder and hit undo move or undo delete but I don't know what the last file I moved or deleted was so some file ends up being moved somewhere in my drive (or a file I have deleted gets moved some where in my drive). Does anyone know if there is a script or program that will allow you to display the last 5 actions windows has taken? For example you could right click inside a folder and it could say 'Undo Move Ctrl+Z 'cooltrick.txt' and then give a balloon hint as to where it got moved C:folder to D:mydocs (this would be cool esp if you have long file paths).
I don't think this option is included in vista but I think a version of it is in finder for the mac can anyone confirm? I hope someone has a solution because I'm really getting annoyed by this issue. Thanks horacio. I'm confused about this. There seems to be two accidentals here. You accidentally right click the Desktop, or inside a folder, then you accidentally click 'Undo Rename', or 'Undo Move'.When you accidentally right click the Desktop or inside a folder, what stops you from pausing before you carry out any other action? Then to remove the right click menu, just move the mouse away and click any empty space. It's just that the Undo Rename or Undo Move options are down the list of the menu, and so it would take a conscious effort to move down the list to select either one, especially if you don't want to.Mark.
